Michigan State Univeristy / Michigan Department of Community Health (MDCH):Blood Lead Level Risk Assessment and Recommendation
[BLL]
This information requested on the web site is being used to help inform our recommendations. None of it is being stored. You have the OPTION of entering the child's name. If you do so you will have a record with the child's name, of the Test recommendation from this Website.

This website may be used to help decide whether or not a child under six years old needs to be tested for an elevated blood lead level. These risk assessments are generally more accurate than those that have been previously made using ZIP codes and other criteria. But please read the disclaimer below.

In order to obtain a risk assessment and testing recommendation from this web site, you must enter the current residence address of the child. Please enter the address fully, with house number, street name AND street type--that is, "Street", "Road", "Drive", "Avenue", etc. Do not include an apartment or lot number.

The web site will provide risk assessment and testing recommendation even if the response to all other questions is “don’t know”, “never tested”, or a blank. However, answering these other questions will improve the accuracy of the prediction. Therefore, if you know this information you should enter it.
